Children’s Day in Thailand happens every second Saturday of January. During the first two Januaries that we were here, we were able to join the locals in celebrating with the kids in “muubans” or housing subdivisions that we were in.
It was a bit different for this year, but it was equally enjoyable. The day before Children’s Day, the school where we volunteer teach at had an early celebration. We were invited by the school principal, so we took it as an opportunity to celebrate Children’s day in a school rather than in a “muuban”.
The Kindergarten classes were so prepared with their numbers.

Aren’t they cute?
(Linking these photos to Orange Tuesdays and Pink Fridays)

Kids sat on the floor-- I was impressed at how behaved they were!

They danced to the beat... shaking off all inhibitions!

This group of young ladies did a North Eastern Thai dance number

The guy girl guy in pink really had a good time. They ran out of girls, ok? LOL!
These twins caught our attention. They looked so pretty in white!

Beautiful!
Pretty soon it was their turn to dance.

And they happily received goodies for their class!

After the program, we had lunch with the Principal. It felt great to be a VIP even for just a few minutes! Ha!
