Concert at the Park

Last Sunday we were privileged to listen to Bangkok Symphony Orchestra for free! The concert was held in Lumpini Park in Silom.  It was our family’s first time to visit Lumpini– it was beautiful!  I know it’s hard to find a relaxing place in the middle of a bustling city… but Lumpini is just one peaceful spot.

Me and the kids enjoyed a 30-minute boat ride before the concert began.

Our homeschoolers enjoyed feeding the birds and the fishes!

Hundreds of people gathered in mats. Good thing we arrived hours early so we got a perfect spot right infront of the stage

And so the concert began. We were so awed at the beautiful music!

Heart and Bird: These two guys were superstars 40 years ago. They redered a few songs, much to the older people's delight!

This guy did such a great job at his violin solos! What heavenly sound!

Pretty soon the concert was over and it was time to pack up our mats!

What a night it was!  Concerts like those would surely cost a fortune, so watching it for free was just amazing! I guess it’s too late for me to play an instrument, but we are glad that Ria is very much into music.  Will I be watching her play violin a few years down the road in concerts like the one we just saw?  Oh, me the wishful mom! :)
